You’ll need to keep your umbrellas handy pretty much all week

Rory Cashin

weather warning

And yet, the temperatures will still be pretty high…

While the humidity is still making it next to impossible to get a good night’s sleep, the bad summer weather is still hitting us hard, as Met Eireann are predicting a week of very unpredictable weather.

Bank Holiday Monday will see temperatures remaining around 22 degrees during the day, but rain storms that might bring some rumbles of thunder are also expected to arrive across the majority of the country.

Tuesday and Wednesday are set to be the same, with temperatures expected to max out in the early twenties, but with plenty of rain washing from the west to the east of the country. Things will get a bit cooler during the evenings, but you should still temperatures not to drop too much below the teens.

The extended outlook into the rest of the week and into next weekend is the same, with unsettled weather and warm(ish) temperatures, rain hitting for most of the days and dying off in the evenings.

So expect stock prices in umbrellas to go up a bit this week!
