It happened when the 11-year-old appeared on The Late Late Show on Friday night.

Addison Whelan, the young girl who made headlines after Cristiano Ronaldo gave his jersey to her, has had another of her dreams come true – getting tickets to see her favourite team Arsenal play at their home ground.

It happened when the 11-year-old appeared on Friday night’s Late Late Show with her father to discuss the event that took place after the match between the Republic of Ireland and Portugal on Thursday night.

Addison, who plays for Shelbourne under-13s, hurdled the barrier and ran onto the pitch to try and meet her hero Ronaldo.

For her efforts, the Portugal and Manchester United superstar handed his jersey to the young fan.

On The Late Late Show, Addison said she has already made plans to get the jersey framed and hung up in her room.

As a gift to congratulate the young fan on meeting Ronaldo, host Ryan Tubridy presented a delighted Addison with an Arsenal jersey, along with tickets to see the team play at the Emirates Stadium.

Clearly delighted, she told the show she had never seen Arsenal play at the venue before.

“Tonight, your dream comes true. You’re going to see Arsenal playing at the Emirates as a gift as well,” Tubridy said.

Meanwhile, The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) confirmed on Friday that Addison “will not face any fine” for running onto the pitch and asking for Ronaldo’s jersey.
