Zlatan and Beckham have made a very unique bet ahead of the Sweden V England match

Rory Cashin

The bet may prove to be even more interesting than the match itself…

At 3pm on Saturday 7 July, Sweden and England will face off in one of the quarter-final matches in this year’s World Cup tournament, and it should prove to be a good one.

However, in the lead-up to the game, Sweden player Zlatan Ibrahimović proposed a friendly bet with his L.A. Galaxy alumni David Beckham.

Obviously, money isn’t really an object for these two, so Zlatan directed the bet in a more unique direction…

Quite why Zlatan proposed the question on Twitter, we’re not sure, since @DavidBeckham has yet to tweet a single tweet (but still has over 18,000 followers, proving that fake famous people are still pretty popular), but thankfully he also popped the proposal for the bet up on Instagram, where L.A. Galaxy grabbed it, along with Beckham’s slightly altered parameters to the bet.

And it would seem that Zlatan is totally down for the new bet:

This is a toughie: we really want to see England win so we can see Zlatan chowing down on a fish and chips in an England jersey, but we also really want to see Beckham forced to personally go shopping in an IKEA superstore.

Although if Zlatan really wanted to put the screws to him, he would’ve got Beckham to assemble the IKEA stuff, too.

So there we go.

The match kicks off at in a few hours, so let’s see how all this turns out!
