Kathryn Thomas – the perfect holiday partner

The votes have been counted, the verdict is in. In the eyes of Irish men Kathryn Tomas is the most desirable Irish celebrity holiday partner.

According to a survey conducted by Irish travel and leisure website lastminute.ie, in which 1,000 people took part, the former No Frontiers presenter has snatched the top spot, ahead of other TV presenters Gráinne Seoige and Sharon Ní Bheolain, who came in second and third respectively.

Kathryn would obviously know where the hotspots are in most destinations around the world but it’s more likely that her down-to-earth nature and good looks were the defining factors in her popularity.

Interestingly, Rosanna Davidson secured fourth place (you would think she’d be a nightmare to maintain on a holiday) and age proved no barrier as Miriam O’Callaghan was voted fifth.

Irish women were also asked who their ideal Irish celebrity holiday partner would be and unsurprisingly, Colin Farrell came out on top.

It also seems that Irish women like funny men, as Des Bishop ran a close second with Ireland rugby stars Tommy Bowe and Brian O’Driscoll in third and fourth respectively.
