PIC: One of the oldest pranks in the book was carried out on car in Kildare overnight

Conor Heneghan

Pity the poor owner waking up to this sight.

We haven’t a notion who first executed it, but the old ‘cover a car in shrink wrap’ prank has existed for as long as we can remember and has proved quite popular over the years.

The wrap itself doesn’t (or at least shouldn’t) cause any damage to a car’s exterior, so the only problem for the victim of the prank is the inconvenience of having to take it all off.

All the better for those who played the prank if the victim has to do so in front of an audience.

At some stage on Sunday morning, someone in Newbridge in Kildare will have to undergo that ever so slightly humiliating ritual when they see that their car has been wrapped to a nearby lamppost.

And pretty comprehensively at that too.

Revenge, when it is exacted, will no doubt be sweet.

Cheers to Annie Morris and Amber Kehoe for sending this our way. Got a story for JOE? Hit us up on Facebook or Twitter, send it to our WhatsApp number 087-4001102 or mail [email protected].
