Here are the 5 best films on the telly tonight

Rory Cashin

2 Guns

Like action movies? Then good news! Because there are a fair few on the box tonight.

In case you didn’t know, one of the best movies of the year has just arrived in cinemas. Yep, BlacKkKlansman is out, and not only can you check out our review of it in the latest episode of The Big Reviewski below, but we also chatted to the movie’s lead star, John David (son of Denzel) Washington.

But if you’re not in a particularly cinema-going mood tonight, then we totally understand, and we’ve got a few movies for you to choose from!

TUESDAY 28 AUGUST

Casino Royale – ITV4 – 9.00pm

With all of the hoopla lately over the upcoming Bond, it can be good to go back and see one of the best ones and remind ourselves why everyone loves them so much.

2 Guns – Film 4 – 9.00pm

Denzel Washington (who we spoke to quite recently!) and Mark Wahlberg play two undercover agents – who don’t know the other is undercover – who go head-to-head in order to try to take down a massive drugs cartel.

Balls Of Fury – Comedy Central – 9.00pm

Cards on the table, this isn’t a particularly good movie, but it is almost worth it just for Christopher Walken’s performance as the leader of a life-or-death ping-pong tournament. It is… truly bizarre as that sounds.

Train To Busan – Film 4 – 11.10pm

We feel like we’ve recommended this to death already, but just in case any of you missed the memo, DON’T MISS THIS MOVIE.

Crank – ITV4 – 11.45pm

Having already starred in one of the weirdest action movies of the year, it is as good a time as any to remind ourselves that Jason Statham has already starred in one of the weirdest (and we mean that in a good way) action movies of all time. Prepare your brains.
