Horror. Comedy. Action. What do you like? Tonight has it all.

Decent mix of genres on tonight, if we’re being honest.

And some of them are brand new entries on our daily “Best Movies On TV” lists, which is always nice to see!

THURSDAY 7 NOVEMBER

Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children – Film4 – 9pm

Tim Burton directs this fantasy adventures which… okay, if you can imagine that school for mutants in X-Men, but for youngers kids, and directed by Tim Burton? There you go. Eva Green, Sam Jackson, Judi Dench, Chris O’Dowd, and loads more star in this better-than-you’d-heard time-passer.

Step Brothers – Comedy Central – 9pm

Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are grown men stuck in arrested development, and they find their entire lives turned upside down when their parents get married, forcing them to all live together.

Red State – Horror Channel – 9pm

Kevin Smith, best known for slacker comedies like Chasing Amy, Clerks, and Dogma, directs this darkly comedic horror, as a trio of teenagers find themselves lost on the property of a religious fundamentalist group who believe the end of the world is coming in just a few hours.

The Neon Demon – Film4 – 11.30pm

The director of Drive switches focus to the shady world of modelling in Los Angeles, and the inherent evil nature to be found within. Elle Fanning, Christina Hendricks, Keanu Reeves, and Jena Malone star in this incredibly stylish horror-thriller.

Eraser – ITV4 – 12.35am

Arnie teams up with Vanessa Williams (famed singer of ‘Save The Best For Last’) in this action-thriller about witness protection targets being killed and top-secret government weapons. It is bonkers, but in the best kind of way.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
