From Oscar-winners to one of the biggest comedies of all time.

In case you’re looking for a quiet night in before the madness of the weekend, we’ve got five good reasons to sit in tonight:

THURSDAY 1 AUGUST

The Hangover – ITV2 – 9pm

A missing person mystery, but given the ingenious twist of being a comedy instead of a thriller. Helped sky-Rocket (geddit?) the career of Bradley Cooper, but also set up every trip to Vegas to be a massive disappointment in comparison.

Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery – Comedy Central – 9pm

The first of the time-traveling spy, Bond-satire trilogy. Elizabeth Hurley is perfect as the Bond girl (Powers girl?), but really this is all about Mike Myers stealing the show over and over again.

The Fugitive – ITV4 – 9pm

Did you know that this action thriller was nominated for the Best Picture Oscar when it was released? And that Tommy Lee Jones actually won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role as the “I don’t care!” agent sent to track down Harrison Ford’s innocent man on the run? Well now you do!

In Time – Syfy – 10pm

Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfriend, Cillian Murphy, and Olivia Wilde star in this sci-fi thriller where time is a currency, and if you can’t pay your bills, then you’re literally out of time (i.e. DEAD!).

The Other Woman – FilmFour – 11.20pm

Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann, and Kate Upton star in this not-great-but-still-watchable rom-com about three women who discover the man they’re all dating (Jamie Lannister from GOT) is cheating on them all, and they decide to get revenge.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
