In case you’re in the mood for a movie tonight, but need help finding the best ones.

Day 2 of 5 of the work week. Two-fifths down.

We can get through this. Together.

And also with movies. Like one (or more) of the five below.

TUESDAY 10 SEPTEMBER

X-Men: Days Of Future Past – Film4 – 6.30pm

A time-travelling mutant adventure as Wolverine is sent back in time to stop a scientist from creating a mutant-hunting machine that will eventually wipe them all off the face of the planet. Arguably the third best X-Men movie, after X-2 and Logan.

Men In Black – E4 – 8pm

Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones team up to protect the Earth from the scum of the universe in this high-concept sci-fi action comedy.

The Green Mile – Film4 – 9pm

Tom Hanks is the prison warden who discovers that he may be holding an innocent man on death row, and that innocent man may also have magical powers. The Stephen King movie that is most likely to have you completely blubbering in big snotty tears by the end.

Seahorse: The Man Who Gave Birth – BBC Two – 9pm

Powerful documentary about a gay transgender man, and how his decision to carry his own baby took years of soul searching, but nothing could prepare him for the reality of pregnancy.

The Happening – Syfy – 11pm

Mark Wahlberg discovers that Mother Nature is totally fed up with humanity polluting the planet, so She decides to get revenge by releasing something in the wind that makes everyone kills themselves. One of the worst/most watchable movie ever made.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
