Power fans it’s time to get excited.

Aside from being a successful rapper, 50 Cent is also a very successful actor, businessman and television series creator.

His show Power debuted on the Starz network a little over four years ago and has gone on to become one of TV’s most popular shows.

Now in the process of filming its sixth season, 50 took to Instagram to reveal that he has a Power spinoff on the way and that it will be a prequel series influenced by the late 1980s.

“My Power spin off is so crazy I’m doing the prequel,” he began the post. “Wait till you see this shit, TGE influence (The Golden Era) Southside we outside 1988 Boom #lecheminduroi.”

In the picture posted to Instagram, 50 is seen sitting on what looks like a police car. He’s dressed in an all-black outfit while another cop car is parked in front of him.

If you haven’t heard of Power then where on earth have you been hiding?

Revolving around a drug dealer-turned-businessman who tries his best to keep his street life, love life and business together but separate, despite all the conflicts he encounters along the way, it stars 50, Omari Hardwick, Naturi Naughton, Joseph Sikora, Rotimi Akinosho, Lala Anthony, and many more.

While no other information on the prequel series has been revealed, if it is anything like Power then it’s sure to make Starz very happy, especially after inking a deal with 50 Cent worth $150 million earlier this month.
