Have you SEEN the weather out there? Stay in and watch one of these instead.

That, of course, depends on whether you’re going to see one of the FIVE new releases in cinemas this weekend.

If you are, then you need to give this a listen, because we review them all on the latest episode of The Big Reviewski:

But if you do wisely decide to sit in tonight, there’s some decent stuff on the box.

FRIDAY 12 OCTOBER

Dreamgirls – E! Entertainment – 8.00pm

The Oscar-winning musical drama features Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy, and Danny Glover, telling the story of a trio of female singers, the men in their lives, and their rocky roads towards stardom.

Fast & Furious – ITV2 – 9.00pm

Don’t let that tricky title fool you, this is actually the FOURTH movie in the franchise, bringing back Paul Walker and Vin Diesel after the Tokyo Drift. Not as good as what would come later, but this is where they started taking steps towards making these movies great.

Lethal Weapon 2 – RTE Two – 9.45pm

Mel Gibson and Danny Glover are still just about young enough for this shit, but the “diplomatic immunity!” bad guy is where this movie excels over the original.

Single White Female – Universal TV – 10.00pm

A woman looks for a new house-mate, who starts off as the roomie from heaven but soon turns out to be a little… intense. And by intense, we mean homicidal. Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Lason Leigh star in what is possibly the most 90s movie to ever exist.

Safe House – ITV4 – 11.50pm

Ryan Reynolds is the guy looking after a safe house in South Africa. Denzel Washington is the crime lord brought in, but someone on the inside is trying to make sure that nobody makes it out of the situation alive. A tense, exciting action thriller.

She’s All That – Channel 4 – 12.45am

A high-school jock (Freddie Prinze Jr.) makes a bet that he can turn a nerdy girl (Rachael Leigh Cook) into the prom queen thanks a big makeover. Quite possibly the second-most 90s movie to ever exist, also stars Paul Walker, Matthew Lillard, Anna Paquin, Lil’ Kim, Kieran Culkin, and Usher!

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
