Comedy. Action. Horror. Tonight’s movies have them all.

Heading to the cinema? Then check this out.

Heading to the couch? Then check out the below:

TUESDAY 13 AUGUST

Paddington – FilmFour – 5.05pm

If you can make it home in time, then you definitely need to enjoy this movie, one of the greatest family-friendly films of all time.

Volcano – FilmFour – 6.55pm

Tommy Lee Jones and Anne Heche have to save the population of Los Angeles after a volcano erupts in the subways beneath the city. A preposterous but hugely entertaining disaster movie.

Horrible Bosses 2 – Comedy Central – 9pm

Funnier than the original, with the new cast arrivals of Christoph Waltz and Chris Pine adding a darker edge, while Jennifer Aniston and Charlie Day are still obviously having a ball with the OTT gags.

The Vanishing – Syfy – 9pm

Kiefer Sutherland discovers that his girlfriend Sandra Bullock has been kidnapped, and her kidnapper (Jeff Bridges) watches him her hunt down from afar, toying with him and providing clues that may result in even more deaths.

Killing Them Softly – FilmFour – 11.15pm

We went in deep on Brad Pitt’s gritty modern western right here, but it is something of a violent hidden gem if you’re up for it.

Death Race – ITV4 – 11.45pm

Jason Statham and Tyrese in a violent racing movie that isn’t Fast & Furious (but is fast and furious). A bonkers action movie that is a lot more fun than it has any right to be.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
