It’s raining, it’s pouring…

It’s too drizzly to make any outdoor plans this Sunday, so movies on TV are coming as a bit of a godsend. We’ve put together a list of the best options on the box tonight to soothe your Sunday fear.

101 Dalmatians – 7pm – E4

Not the cartoon. This is a live action remake from before they were all the rage. Still a great story about an evil woman trying to make clothes out of dogs. All star cast of Glenn Close, Jeff Daniels, Joely Richardson, Hugh Laurie and Mark Williams.

Rock of Ages – 7.40pm – ITV2

A musical featuring rock songs from the 80s, so a nice watch for anybody who misses those days.

Step Brothers – 9pm – Comedy Central

We don’t think it’s too controversial a call to say this is one of the funniest movies ever made. So much room for activities!

The Punisher – 9pm – SyFy

Before the MCU, before the Netflix range of Marvel TV shows, there was The Punisher (2004). This adaptation of the comic has John Travolta as the bad guy.

The Theory of Everything – 10pm – ITV3

The life story of legendary scientist Stephen Hawking. Features a career-making performance from Eddie Redmayne in the lead role.

Zero Dark Thirty – 10pm – ITV4

Jessica Chastain stars in a movie about the operation to kill Bin Laden. One of the most exciting true stories of modern history.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
