Here are the 6 best movies on TV tonight

the purge anarchy

Everything from the MCU to a multi-Oscar winner!

Thursday is upon us, and while the weekend is supposed to be quite pleasant, we’re not quite there yet.

You could head to the cinema (and check out one of the movies we recommend right here), or you can watch one of these from the comfort of your own couch:

THURSDAY 21 FEBRUARY

Mammal – Virgin Media Three – 9.00pm

Rachel Griffiths plays a grieving divorcee who develops an intense bond with a homeless teenager (an intense Barry Keoghan), who reminds her of her dead son. However, once she moves him into her home, their relationship becomes threatened by the violent gang that he is a member of.

The Inbetweeners 2 – E4 – 9.00pm

Will, Neil, Jay, and the other one head to Sydney for their next big holiday together, expecting sex, sun, sex, booze, and probably some more sex. Guess what? Things don’t go exactly according to plan.

Horrible Bosses – Comedy Central – 9.00pm

Jason Bateman has Kevin Spacey as a horrible boss. Charlie Day has Jennifer Aniston as a horrible boss. And Jason Sudekis has Colin Farrell as a horrible boss. So they devise a plan to rid themselves of their horrible bosses, but guess what? Things don’t go exactly according to plan.

The Artist – BBC Four – 10.00pm

The five-time Oscar-winner – including Best Picture – tells the story of an egomaniacal film star who develops a relationship with a young dancer against the backdrop of Hollywood’s silent era. Yes, it is in black and white, and yes, it is a silent movie, but don’t let that put you off one of the most heart-warming movies of the decade.

The Incredible Hulk – ITV4 – 10.00pm

The one with Edward Norton, and Liv Tyler as the love interest. Not to be confused with the one with Eric Bana, and Jennifer Connelly as the love interest.

The Purge: Anarchy – FilmFour – 11.25pm

The second and arguably best of the series to date, which finally took us out of the one house (where the first movie was set), but before it got too bogged down with subtexts (like The Purge: Election Year did).
