Andrew Scott’s best movie is airing on TV tonight

The actor was nominated for a Golden Globe for his role in the 2023 film.

Written and directed by Andrew Haigh (45 Years, The North Water), the film stars Scott as Adam, a lonely screenwriter living in a London apartment block.

Living a secluded life after a traumatic past, his isolation is broken when his neighbour, Harry (Paul Mescal - Aftersun, Normal People), shows up outside his door one night. Though Adam initially spurns Harry's advances, the pair grow close.

At the same time, the screenwriter returns to his childhood home. There, he discovers his long-dead parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell), living and looking the same age as the day they died, when Adam was just 11 years old.
