The Last Watch

We’re going to need this.

As of right now, we only have one week left of HBO’s Game of Thrones. For those of us who have been obsessed with the show for eight years now, we’re expecting its absence to leave quite a void in our hearts.

Thankfully, HBO will be providing some comfort in the form of a two-hour documentary on the making of one of history’s biggest ever television shows, titled The Last Watch.

The trailer for the documentary goes behind the scenes and looks at the set design, costuming, battle choreography and even table reads for the beloved fantasy show.

Directed by Jeanie Finlay, the doc has footage from Emilia Clarke’s last ever scene on the show, and testimony from a crew member claiming the show saved his life.

Game of Thrones has made us cry on plenty of occasions, but this close-up look at those who have poured their heart and soul into the show for the past decade might be the most moving thing yet. Check out the trailer below.

The documentary will air on May 26, one week after the show’s final episode airs in America.
