Deja Vu

Sundays like this were made for staying on the couch!

Or even better, on the bed! And have someone bring food up to you whenever you ring a little bell? Perfect.

That is of course if you’re not in the mood to hit up the local cinema, in which case we recommend you check out the latest episode of The Big Reviewski, in which we review all the new (and all the remaining) released in your local cinema!

But if going outdoors doesn’t sound appealing to you today, then don’t worry, we’ve got you covered:

SUNDAY 30 SEPTEMBER

The Abyss – Film Four – 6.10pm

James Cameron’s underwater sci-fi extravaganza thriller, featuring a group of deep sea divers who happen across an extraterrestrial at the bottom of the ocean.

Back To The Future Part III  – E4 – 6.45pm

In which they no longer go back to the future, but actually go back to the past… the Wild West no less! We figure it is a rule of thumb that everyone considers the first one to be the best one, but it is usually a tie between II and III as to what is considered the second best one.

The Blues Brothers – ITV4 – 9.00pm

A classic 80’s comedy-musical featuring John Belushi and Dan Akyroyd and a huge list of cameo singers, telling the story of two guys who have just been released from prison and want to get their old band back together.

Pineapple Express – Universal – 9.00pm

James Franco and Seth Rogen are two stoners who accidentally find themselves in the midst of a massive drug cartel, which means we’ve got a stoner-bro comedy in the midst of an action thriller.

Deja Vu – Syfy – 9.00pm

Denzel Washington is the test subject who is asked to go back in time to stop a huge bombing from taking place, but of course nobody believes him. Co-stars Jim Caviezel as the terrorist, and Paula Patton as the woman who may hold the key to stopping the attack.

Twelve Monkeys – Syfy – 11.30pm

Bruce Willis is the test subject who is asked to go back in time to stop a huge… wait a second… are Film Four having some kind of “Going back in time to save the world” night? Either way, this one co-stars Brad Pitt as the potential terrorist, and Madeline Stowe as the doctor who may hold the key to stopping the attack.

Before I Go To Sleep – Channel 4 – 12.00am

Nicole Kidman is a woman who wakes up every day with no memories of the day before, following a vicious attack in her recent past. Colin Firth is her loving husband, Mark Strong is her caring therapist, but everyone involved has more secrets than anyone is letting on…

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
