If you’re sitting in, then we’ve got a lot of great movies for you to choose from tonight:

FRIDAY 15 JUNE

RED – Film 4 – 21:00

Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich and a host of others star in this fun action comedy about a group of retired assassins who are forced back to work when they begin to get framed for a series of mysterious murders.

Gone Girl – RTE One – 21:35

David Fincher makes everyone terrified of relationships, with Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike as a seemingly perfect couple, until she suddenly goes missing and he becomes the prime suspect in her potential murder.

Kick-Ass – Sky One – 22:00

A violent, dark and very funny breakdown of superhero movies, as Nic Cage and Chloe Grace Moretz play father-and-daughter vigilantes, in a city where there are some very real repercussions to trying to save the world.

Unstoppable – SyFy – 22:00

Chris Pine and Denzel Washington star in this based-on-a-true-story tale of two train operators attempting to stop a huge locomotive with no breaks, no driver and filled with dangerous chemicals.

Moneyball – Dave – 23:00

Brad Pitt, Robin Wright, Jonah Hill and Philip Seymour Hoffman star in this brilliant true life tale of a baseball team’s manager who uses a computer programme to figure out which players they should buy next. That doesn’t sound very interesting, but it really is, and it comes from the writer of The Social Network and Steve Jobs. Worth checking out.

The Wolf Of Wall Street – Channel 4 – 23:40

Leo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill star in Martin Scorsese’s take on the real-life tale of one of the biggest corruption schemes in Wall Street history. Hugely entertaining.

Death Race – ITV4 – 23:55

Jason Statham, Joan Allen, Tyrese Gibson and Ian McShane star in this very fun action thriller about a prison that doubles as the set for the hit TV show, in which prisoners race around a destructive course, fighting for their freedoms.

Jackie Brown – Comedy Central Extra – 00:00

Arguably Tarantino’s best movie. Unarguably his most underrated.

An American Werewolf In London – Film 4 – 01:25

One of the best horror movies of all time, with a werewolf transformation scene that still remains the best in cinema history, even nearly 40 years later.
