Aaron Paul returning to TV for the first time since Breaking Bad

He's going to star in the new drama 'The Way'

Tony Cuddihy

Aaron Paul is set to star in his first TV drama since the end of Breaking Bad in 2013.

The Way will also star Michelle Monaghan and comes from Jason Katims, who made the TV series of both Friday Night Lights and Parenthood.

The low-key story focuses on a couple at a tough moment in their relationship and mines similar territory to Smashed!, a far-better-than-it-has-any-right-to-be drama starring Paul and Mary Elizabeth Winstead about a couple dependent on alcohol and the problems that causes. It’s on Netflix and well worth your time.

But we digress – The Way will be a 10-part series and is expected to hit screens in 2016.

Following Paul’s less than successful turns in Need For Speed (bleuch), A Long Way Down (meh) and Exodus: God and Kings (nope) it’s good to see him going back to what he does best.
