AH-HA! JOE meets Declan Lowney, director of Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa

The Irishman reveals what it's really like to work with the egotistical ba*tard that is Alan Partridge...

Eoghan Doherty

To celebrate the release of the excellently funny Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa in Irish cinemas this week,  JOE met up with the film’s charasmatic and brilliantly-bequiffed Irish director, Declan Lowney.

Following on from Alan’s exclusive special greeting for all of his Irish fans, the ex-Father Ted and Little Britain helmer talks to JOE about the film’s Norwich world premiere, the important connection between Irish and British comedy and, most importantly, what it’s like to try and work with the egotistical bastard that is Alan Partridge.

Be warned, there’s some tasty language in the clip.

No, you fool, not like food-related “tasty” language. What we mean is that we all curse a couple of times.
