Ok, we’re listening..

Irish actor Aidan Turner has revealed that new Disney+ show Rivals drafted in not one, but two intimacy coordinators as it had so much sex.

Speaking to The Times, the star of The Hobbit films and Poldark said the upcoming drama is the most fun he’s had on set in his career.

“We have so much sex on our show, we have to have two intimacy coaches. Two!”

Based on the bestselling novel by Jilly Cooper, Rivals is set in the 1980s and centres on the lavish lives of wealthy elite of the picturesque Cotswolds, in the west of England.

The series also stars David Tennant, Katherine Parkinson, Lisa McGrillis, Alex Hassell, Emily Atack and Danny Dyer.

“Every day we’re in a different huge manor house somewhere, having garden parties,” said Turner. “And it is that thing as well, which happens sometimes in shows — and I see it happening [here], though none of us have kind of admitted to it, but it’s definitely there — where there’s a slight methody thing happening.

“We’re all up for the party. We went out the other night to the Ivy. We had a late night, lots of cocktails.”

Turner continued by saying that he “never wanted a season two of anything more in my life.”

Luckily for Turner, Rivals is based on the second novel in Jilly Cooper’s Rutshire Chronicles series and there happens to be nine more. So, if the show is a hit, we’re sure the Irish star will be more than happy to stick it out for another decade or so.
