It looks like one of the biggest rom-coms of 2018 is getting a sequel

Who doesn’t love a good rom-com?

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: rom-coms are class.

As far as we’re concerned, there are two types of people in the world: people who love rom-coms and people who are lying.

And undeniably, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is one of the best rom-coms that was released in 2018.

The plot was an interesting one: What if everyone you’ve ever fancied found out exactly how you felt about them…all at once? A teenage girl’s love life goes from imaginary to out of control when the love letters for every boy she’s ever loved – five in all – are mysteriously mailed out.

Classic rom-com stuff.

So naturally, we’re absolutely chuffed that a sequel is on the way.

According to Variety, Susan Johnson, who directed the film, confirmed on Tuesday that a sequel is in development, saying: “Well, the cat’s out of the bag! Thanks for the support, everyone!!! It’s all you!”

There is no definite release date for the sequel, but we can probably expect it at some point in 2019.

The first movie went down an absolute treat on Netflix, and when we say that, we mean it.

Netflix revealed that it was one of the most viewed movies that they’ve ever released on the streaming service.

Which is why it is no surprise to us that there is going to be a sequel!
