Throughout the history of Always Sunny, we’ve been treated to some seriously dark moments.
Anyone else remember Dennis dreaming about slashing Dee into small pieces? “Of course not, Dee. Think of the smell. You haven’t thought of the smell, you bitch! You say another word and I swear to God I will dice you into a million little pieces and put those pieces in a box, a glass box that I will display on my mantel,” said the Golden God.
What about Frank’s sweatshop in Vietnam or Sweet Dee and Dennis trying to become serial killers?
See, Dennis already said what his end game is all about. “This is about the thrill of wearing another man’s skin. Feeling his innermost wants and desires and being in control of his every single move. That’s how you get off. Now don’t you guys want to get off with me?”
Yeah, he’s definitely a serial killer.
Well, the guys are back with a new animation and it sounds incredibly dark. Hell, this new show might even be too depraved for Gail the Snail.
Rooster Teeth has greenlit the new animated dark comedy series “Spikeface” from RCG – that’s the production team that’s owned by Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton.
Variety have reported that the the series will follow “one of the world’s great horror icons,” who slaughters a couple at a roadside motel — before he discovers they have a baby girl.
Rather than do the decent thing and let the young child be raised by relatives/foster parents, this villain decides to raise the orphan as his own. That pisses off his roommates, who also are all iconic horror villains.
McElhenney will executive produce the eight-episode original series and with the new season of Sunny also filming, he’s a very busy man.
