It’s Always Sunny paid a classy tribute to a late Irish-born cop in an episode earlier this month

There’s no fictional Irish pub more beloved than Paddy’s Pub from It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, and the show won praise from the New Jersey State Police for paying tribute to one of its fallen cops.

Trooper Sean Cullen, who was born in Dublin, was tragically killed a year ago when he was truck by a car after responding to calls of a fire. He was only 31 at the time, according to PhillyVoice.com.

The gang reached out to Cullen’s family, and featured a photo of the Trooper in a March 1 episode of the show called A Cricket’s Tale. The show also reportedly cast some of Cullen’s family as extras.

New Jersey State Police posted the full story on their Facebook page, paying tribute to the show for the classy gesture.
