Things just got interesting.
Why? Because Graham Norton himself will be appearing on the Late Late Show in what seems like some sort of chat show Inception but is easily explainable by the fact that Graham’s show is recorded on Thursday and then broadcast on Friday night.
There are plenty of other interesting guests across both shows to keep viewers interested, including the ghost of Joe Dolan… sort of.
The Late Late Show
Graham Norton
The aforementioned Norton will chat to Ryan why he loves returning to Ireland, Brexit and what the future holds for him after 19 years hosting his own show.
Michael Bublé
Nothing screams ‘Christmas around the corner’ like the sight of crooner Michael Bublé, who will discuss life as a father, sing a song and no doubt have the audience melting at the very sight of him.
Kieran Donaghy
The four-time All-Ireland winner has just released a book (with a reference to Joe Brolly in the title), and will discuss with Ryan tales of his glittering career and often turbulent home life.
Donal Skehan
Once just a humble food blogger, now a presence on US, British and Swedish television, Skehan will reflect on his remarkable rise and his life since marrying his Swedish sweetheart Sofie.
Joe Dolan tribute
As if Michael Bublé wasn’t enough for the ladies in the audience, Nathan Carter, via the magic of archive footage, will duet with legendary Mullingar crooner Joe Dolan on his classic hit ‘Make Me an Island’.
The ‘Wagon Wheel’ singer will be joined by journalist Eddie Rowley and Joe’s brother Ben Dolan as they pay tribute to the enduring legacy of one of Ireland’s most beloved singers. And some of Joe’s biggest fans will be in studio to pay their own unique tributes.
The Graham Norton Show
Ryan Tubridy won’t be doing a role reversal and appearing on Graham’s show tonight, but Graham will be joined by none other than Tom Cruise and his co-star, Cobie Smulders to mark the release of Jack Reacher: Never go back.
Jude Law will be on the couch to talk about his new series, The Young Pope, on Sky Atlantic and he’ll have to make room for a regular visitor to Graham’s show, comedian Catherine Tate.
Following the release of their new album, Walls, meanwhile, Kings of Leon will be on to provide some choons and we’re also hoping for some more gold from the red chair after a tale for the ages from a Donegal man last week.
