Our TV movie pick for tonight (Monday, 16 March) is Aontas, the Irish language heist thriller that was an IFTA Best Film nominee this year.
Airing on both BBC One and TG4, the movie follows three unlikely thieves, led by a woman on the verge of a breakdown, who rob a rural Irish Credit Union.
Opening in the tragic aftermath of the heist-gone-wrong, the story unfolds backwards, chapter by chapter, to unravel the events that led to this point.
"What starts as a poorly executed robbery becomes a portrait of a wilful woman trapped in her own past," the plot synopsis adds.
McCann wrote the screenplay for the thriller, alongside Sarah Gordon. The pair will also be working on the second season of TG4's hit mystery show, Crá.
The movie has been highly acclaimed, picking up six nominations at this year's IFTA Awards, including Best Film.
Aontas will air on TV tonight on TG4 at 9.30pm and BBC One at 10.40pm.
