Irish crime drama Kin is officially coming back for a third season, with one of its stars confirming the news.
The actor made the comments while speaking to press on the red carpet for the IFTA Awards that took place in Dublin City Centre last night (Friday, 20 February).
Bron Studios, the production company behind the series, declared bankruptcy in 2023, which put the show's future in major doubt for years.
Earlier this week, however, The Irish Sun published a report claiming that RTÉ and the BBC are joining forces to revive Kin.

The outlet reported that lead actor Charlie Cox (Daredevil) and the rest of its main stars will return to Ireland in July to film a six-episode third season.
JOE attended the IFTA Awards red carpet last night and spoke to Ciarán Hinds, who received the IFTA Lifetime Achievement Award.
Hinds famously played Eamon Cunningham, the gang leader-antagonist of Kin season one, who went to war with the main crime family, the Kinsellas (represented by Clare Dunne and Charlie Cox).
While Hinds most likely won't be back for Kin season three, we asked for his reaction to the reports of the show's return.
He told us:
"I've just heard that Kin 3 might be coming back and I'm thrilled.
"I'm thrilled for Peter [McKenna] who's writing it and all the people who are in it, who are so terrific. It's brilliant."
When we also asked if he had a good experience, Hinds smiled and said: "Yes, I did indeed."
You can watch a clip of that interaction below:
Clare Dunne also spoke to several outlets on the IFTA red carpet, where she confirmed that Kin would be back for season three.
She told Goss.ie: “So delighted to have it come back. I was on the phone to Charlie [Cox] the other day in America, and he’s thrilled."
“I think he always loves bringing his kids over to Ireland, actually, for the summer holidays," she said, laughing, before adding: "Yeah, [I'm] just really looking forward to being with all the crew again as well. The crew are amazing.”
Dunne also revealed that Cox had been texting her over the past few years, telling her: “I really miss Kin."
The Irish Sun's report said Kin season three will air on RTÉ in Spring 2027.
