Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we’re taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for Artemis Fowl.
It was rumoured over the past few days, but it’s finally here, Disney have released the first trailer for Artemis Fowl, due to be released next year.
Plot’s it all about?
Based on the hugely successful books created by Irish author Eoin Colfer, the movie follows teen mastermind Artemis Fowl who, after discovering an underground world inhabited by elves, fairies and gnomes, decides to kidnap one of the creatures for his own ends.
Colfer is The New York Times best-selling author of the eight books in the Artemis Fowl series, with sales in excess of 25 million copies, so if the first movie hits, we could be seeing a lot more of them in the future.
The Irish representation is strong in the films with Ferdia Shaw and Lara McDonnell playing leading roles and Kenneth Branagh directing.
Star power is added with Judi Dench, while Game of Thrones fans will recognise Nonso Anozie.
