Audio: Irish runaway-groom confronted by jilted bride’s aunt LIVE on 4FM

If you leave your bride-to-be at the alter then you can expect a backlash when you decide to talk about it on one of the country’s most popular radio stations, as this guy recently found out.

4FM’s Niall Boylan was recently discussing the news that Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki had split after they sent wedding invitations out to guests.

So Niall asked his listeners if they had ever been in a similar situation themselves and, unsurprisingly, someone called in with a fairly juicy story.

A listener, named Mark, phoned in and explained that some time ago he decided to cancel his own wedding just moments after pulling up to the church in the limo. Classy.

Mark asked the driver to keep going and hasn’t spoken to the girl since. Towards the end of the show the Auntie (Sarah) of the girl he left on the day of the wedding came on air to call him a ‘scumbag’, among other things…

It’s not the first time that a 4FM listener of Niall’s has made it onto our site, as last year one lad from Dublin was caught cheating by his missus live on air. It’s well worth a listen if you haven’t heard it already.

Hat tip to Mike H. for sending this our way
