The cast of Avengers: Endgame on why they didn’t get the biggest wrap party of all time

After 11 years and 22 movies, they certainly deserved it!

Outside of maybe only Game Of Thrones (because it filmed in Ireland, and therefore a party is pretty much law), the cast and crew of Avengers: Endgame most certainly deserved a gigantic wrap party.

After filming Endgame back-to-back with Infinity War, sure to be two of the biggest box office hits of all time, you’d assume one of the biggest wrap parties of all time would be a given.

However, when JOE sat down with some of the cast of Endgame in the run-up to the movie’s release, we discovered that this was not the case.

First up, we asked Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) and Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), and they seemed totally perplexed about it:

SJ: “Where is our wrap party? Seriously, where is our wrap party?”

PR: “That is a great question.”

SJ: “Come on Disney, whats up with that?!”

PR: “Yeah, I don’t think it was the biggest wrap party in the history of wrap parties.”

SJ: “No, it was not! I don’t remember a wrap party!”

We tried to lighten the mood a bit, by telling them that maybe the movie’s world premiere would have a great after party?

SJ: “Even that, we had to plan it ourselves! These people just don’t know how to plan, do you know what I mean? I ended up having to take over that whole… it is always like this. Its like herding cats, its impossible. I’m like ‘Anybody, anybody wanna, nobody, you wanna eat after?’, its impossible.”

We also put the same question to Chris Hemsworth (Thor), who had a far more diplomatic, understandable reasoning as to why the shoot didn’t end with the biggest blow-out in cinema history:

“No, there wasn’t [a big wrap party]. I think the premiere will have a nice big after party,” he said.

“But we all wrapped at different parts. We shot these films together, Infinity War and Endgame, and people were doing all of their individual stories and wrapping at different times. There wasn’t a finale. And then as soon as we finished our bit, we’d all had to run off to do another film, or to our various countries that we were living in. For me, I went to Australia so… there wasn’t a wrap party!

“But now that you bring it up… what the hell!”
