Good morning my neighbours!

If you know Coming to America, we’d ask you to refrain from the response delivered to Eddie Murphy when he says that line in the movie.

We would suggest watching it tonight, however, when it’s probably the pick of a fairly mixed bunch of movies on the telly box.

Here’s what’s on offer this Friday evening:

X-Men: The Last Stand – Film4, 6.55pm

The last of three X-Men movies of the early 2000s, which, if you count Deadpool, have been followed by nine X-Men movies since.

It’s not terrible, but there is better X-Men to come later this evening…

Coming to America – Comedy Central, 9pm

Did someone say… Sexual Chocolate?

If you’ve had a hard week, this iconic Eddie Murphy comedy is guaranteed to provide some light relief.

Dirty Grandpa – Film4, 9pm

Robert DeNiro deserves better than this.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine – E4, 9pm

Probably better than the X-Men selection from earlier this evening, but only just. It got much better from here as far as Wolverine was concerned in The Wolverine and Logan, a magnificent final instalment in this particular series.

The Man with the Iron Heart – RTÉ Two, 9.35pm

Ireland’s own Jack Reynor is in good company alongside Jason Clarke and Rosamund Pike in an account of the plot to assassinate Nazi leader Reinhard Heydrich during World War II.

Hang ‘Em High – TG4, 10.10pm

Another Friday night, another great western on TG4, this time starring the great Clint Eastwood as a rancher out for revenge.

The Lady in the Van – BBC One, 10.45pm

Very well-received British comedy about the friendship between a man and a cranky homeless lady whom he lets park in his driveaway.
