Here are the best movies on TV this evening

It's Wednesday.

What Wednesday lacks in numbers, it makes up for in the quality of the movies.

We know, it's sunny out so you're not looking to sit inside out of the sun. Thankfully, most of the films start after, or less than an hour before, the sun has set.

Here's the best movies on TV later today.

Apollo 13 - ITV4 - 8pm

Based on the true story of the Apollo 13 mission.

Add Tom Hanks, Ed Harris and Bill Paxton into the mix and you've got yourself a good movie.

American Made - Film4 - 9pm

Tom Cruise gets involved in drugs and arms smuggling before eventually getting wrapped up in the CIA.

Smart and stylish.

Born on the Fourth of July - Sky Atlantic - 9pm

Roger Ebert gave it 4/4 and called the movie an apology for the Vietnam War.

Kill Bill: Volume 1 - SyFy - 10pm

Do you have a keen interest in violence and gore? If the answer is yes, then this movie will be right up your street.

You may also want to speak to someone if the answer is yes.

Smokey and the Bandit Part 3 - ITV4 - 10.25pm

They should have stopped after the first one. Instead, they made two more.

The Fifth Estate - Film4 - 11.15pm
