It. Is. Monday.

A new working week is upon us and things are looking up in the world, although only marginally.

The weather is set to reach new heights for the year. The end of the Suez Canal debacle is in sight, even if it likely didn’t affect you too much.

And best of all, we’ve got some movies on TV for you this evening.

Police Academy – ITV4 – 9pm

This may be the original but it’s not the best of them.

Decent though.

The DaVinci Code – Sky One – 9pm

There was a time when it seemed everyone in Ireland was reading this book.

Iconic mystery thriller starring Tom Hanks and based on the novel by Dan Brown.

The Hitman’s Bodyguard – Film4 – 9pm

A buddy cop style movie except it’s between a hitman and the bodyguard escorting him to trial.

It has its moments and you could do a lot worse.

40 Days and 40 Nights – Comedy Central – 9pm

A man vows to remain celibate during Lent but this is difficult for a few reasons. The first of them is that the lead is Josh Hartnett who is devilishly handsome. And he also falls in love.

Rush Hour – ITV4 – 11.05pm

Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan team up for the first time.

The Hunt for the Wilderpeople – Film4 – 11.20pm

Previously described by JOE as the best comedy of the last five years.

At the time of its release, JOE hailed it as one of the best films of the year.

So yeah, we guess you can say it’s decent.
