Here are the best movies on TV this evening
There are some great flicks airing tonight.
It's tough for movie lovers with cinemas being closed. That said, there's a lot of cool films on offer this evening on TV that should cure the blues of regular cinemagoers.
Here's our top picks from tonight's offerings.
Mission: Impossible - Fallout - Film Four - 9pm
Thanks to Tom Cruise's increasingly death-defying stunts, as well as Henry Cavill famously reloading his fists as if they were guns, Fallout is the most thrilling entry in the Mission: Impossible series to date and a high point for Hollywood action cinema in general.
For Your Eyes Only - ITV 4 - 9pm
Speaking of cinemas being closed, film fans around the world are still waiting with bated breath for No Time to Die.
As you wait, you can check out this earlier Bond flick - the 12th in the series and the fifth to star Roger Moore as 007.
National Lampoon's Vacation - Turner Classic Movies - 9pm
Often cited as one of the greatest comedies of all time, Chevy Chase plays a man who takes his family on a cross-country road trip where anything that can go wrong does go wrong.
Run All Night - Turner Classic Movies - 11.10pm
One of Liam Neeson's better post-Taken action films, he plays an ex-hitman who goes on the run with his estranged adult son (Joel Kinnaman) after he is forced to kill the son of a mafia boss.
Joining Neeson in the cast to bolster the tough old man vibes is Ed Harris and Nick Nolte.
Total Recall - ITV 4 - 11.45pm
Arnold Schwarzenegger stars in this mind-bending sci-fi classic set in the future.
Boasting jaw-dropping special effects, the film is directed by Paul Verhoeven (Robocop, Starship Troopers) and is based on a short story by legendary author Philip K. Dick (Blade Runner).
Babylon A.D. - Film Four - 11.55pm
One of Vin Diesel's lesser-seen films, he plays a veteran-turned-mercenary in the future who takes the high-risk job of escorting a woman from Russia to America.
Little does he know that she is host to an organism that a cult wants to harvest in order to produce a genetically modified Messiah.
