It’s Monday.

Monday = one day.

Yes, it is the first working day of the new week and we’re here to tell you about what movies you can see on your screens this evening.

There’s just the one movie on Irish TV, but there’s a few decent choices on a little further afield.

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation – Film4 – 9pm

One of the best, if not the best, entries in the Mission Impossible franchise.

Fences – TG4 – 9.30pm

An adaption of the August Wilson play starring Denzel Washington in the lead role, who provides a towering performance.

92% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Crank – Sky One – 10pm

A man is injected with a serum that requires him to keep his adrenaline levels high in order to survive.

Who better to play such a role than Jason Statham, who achieves this through a variety of increasingly ridiculous moves.

The Thing – SyFy – 10pm

The 2011 version, and I must admit I haven’t seen this one but it’s about killer aliens and sounds scary.

The first one was iconic, from reviews this doesn’t reach the same heights. But it’s a Monday night horror for film fans.

Metro – ITV4 – 10.35pm

Eddie Murphy stars in this heist-gone-wrong movie which got ripped to pieces by critics.

Unknown – Channel 5 – 11.05pm

Liam Neeson stars in an action thriller that he got solely on the back of his performance in Taken.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
