Movies on TV

It’s Wednesday.

Let’s not waste both of our time here.

We know why you’re here. It’s for the movies. We’ve got the movies.

And we’re going to give them to you.

The Way Way Back – Film4 – 6.45pm

A coming of age story starring Steve Carell, Toni Collette, Allison Janney and Sam Rockwell.

An abundantly charming movie.

Tomorrow Never Dies – ITV2 – 8pm

Can you believe this movie came out in 1997?

While there is much good in Pierce Brosnan’s second outing as James Bond, there’s plenty of bad as well.

Nay bad, nay great. A solid 6/10.

Double Jeopardy – More4 – 9pm

So double jeopardy means that you cannot be charged with the same crime twice.

Ashley Judd is wrongly jailed for her husband’s murder, so she sets out to find the truth… and possibly revenge.

All a bit meh.

Die Hard 4.0 – Film4 – 9pm

Truly ridiculous yet still somewhat enjoyable fourth entry in the Die Hard series, arriving a full 22 years after Die Hard with a Vengeance.

The Librarian 2: Return to King Solomon’s Mines – SyFy – 11pm

An adventure/fantasy/comedy/drama sequel.

Haven’t seen this one but it seems a little like a lite version of Indiana Jones.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
