It’s Friday.

Have you done the JOE Friday Pub Quiz yet? There’s not a whole lot else to do these days so you might as well, and it looks like there’s going to be even less in the immediate future.

But yes it is Friday and despite all the doom and gloom in the world, we do have the weekend ahead of us.

There’s also the little matter of the Late Late Show this evening if that tickles your fancy.

Of course, you’re here for the movies on TV and it would be impolite of us to renege on the details any longer.

Here’s the pick of what’s on later.

Stan & Ollie – BBC One – 8.30pm

Excellent performances from John C. Reilly and Steve Coogan sees them play Laurel and Hardy as they face an uncertain future when their golden age of Hollywood is in the rearview mirror.

We’re The Millers – ITV2 – 9pm

Jason Sudekis and Jennifer Aniston star in this comedy about a small-time pot dealer who enlists the services of a fake ‘family’ to help him smuggle drugs across the border from Mexico to the United States.

Taken 3 – Film4 – 9pm

Liam Neeson proves for the third time he is a bad father.

2 Gun – Virgin Media One – 9.30pm

Entertaining action romp with Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg.

The Violent Man – TG4 – 10.10pm

Violence ensues when one of greedy landowner’s henchmen kills the ranch hand of the man selling him land.

Me Before You – RTÉ One – 11.25pm

Emilia Clarke plays the assistant of a handsome, but depressed quadriplegic Sam Claflin. The story shows a love blossom between them but you get the feeling it won’t end well.
