Moana – RTÉ One – 6.35pm

A charming oceanic musical. Your kids will love it.

Song for a Raggy Boy – RTÉ2 – 9.40pm

A difficult subject and a difficult watch at times.

Sideways – TG4 – 10pm

Described as “brilliant any way you look at it” by Roger Ebert, it currently sits at 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Sense of an Ending – BBC Two – 9.15pm

Jim Broadbent confronts his past.

The Conversation – BBC Two – 11pm

One of Francis Ford Coppola’s best films, putting it in fine company beside The Godfather and Apocalypse Now. Gene Hackman said it’s his favourite movie he made.

Star Trek Into Darkness – Channel 4 – 9pm

A movie that will suck you in from the opening scenes.

The Italian Job – Sky One – 9pm

Mark Wahlberg and his rag tag team steal money from Ed Norton.

Spectre – ITV2 – 8pm

Daniel Craig said he’d rather slash his own wrists than do another James Bond movie after this one. James Bond No Time To Die starring Daniel Craig is set to come out later this year.

Jaws: The Revenge – ITV4 – 8.10pm

In fairness, it is a different shark.

The Other Guys – Comedy Central – 9pm

A classic. Don’t @ me.

Blair Witch – Film4 – 11.10pm

One for horror fans. Scary stuff.
