It’s Friday.

It’s been a hell of a week but we’ve made it to Friday and many of you can look forward to a slightly more relaxing couple of days.

But we can’t relax yet, because there’s some movies on TV that we need to tell you about.

Here’s the pick of the bunch this evening.

Black 47 – Virgin Media One – 9pm

It’s the world TV premiere of this critically acclaimed Irish film.

James Frecheville plays an Irish Ranger who has been fighting for the British Army, only to return home and realise that everything has changed.

Dirty Grandpa – E4 – 9pm

Even the people who made this movie don’t like it.

2012 – Comedy Central – 9pm

John Cusack stars in this disaster epic.

Kick-Ass – SyFy – 9pm

Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloe Grace Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Jim Carrey star in this superhero comedy/thriller.

Not your average superhero movie.

Layer Cake – Film4 – 9pm

Before he was Bond, Daniel Craig turned heads in this gritty and quite convoluted London crime drama.

Two Rode Together – TG4 – 9.05pm

For a fee, hard-drinking Texas marshal Guthrie McCabe (James Stewart) agrees to help Army officer Jim Gary (Richard Widmark) search for a group of people who were abducted years earlier by Comanche warriors.

The Finest Hours – RTÉ2 – 9.30pm

Based on a true story of a coast guard boat which is damaged in a storm and tells the story of the men on board who must battle for survival, all under a new captain.

Casino – Dave – 10pm

Scorsese, De Niro and Pesci together.
