Here are the best movies on TV today

movies on TV

It’s a day for watching films working from home.

If you can work from home, you should work from home is the advice from the government.

But what movies are on the TV for those moments when you need a wee break from work? The bad news we’ve to break to you is that most of them are on tonight and not much use to you during the day.

Still, there’s always *checks notes* Killer Contractor this afternoon; beggars can’t be choosers after all.

Dirty Grandpa – RTÉ2 – 9pm

It’s not accurate to describe this as one of the best movies on TV today. This is more of an admission that it is on the telly. It’s really bad.

Blood Father – Virgin Media One – 9pm

An ex-convict and his estranged daughter go on the run from her drug-dealing boyfriend and his vicious cartel. Stars Mel Gibson.

The Undefeated – TG4 – 9.05pm

A decent western starring John Wayne.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen – E4 – 8pm

Sometimes it’s better to not make the sequel.

The Hangover – ITV2 – 9pm

Men get really f**ked up in Las Vegas and try to piece together their night the morning after.

Killer Contractor – Channel 5 – 2.15pm

I’ve never seen this but here’s what Google has to say on the matter.

“Kerry and her daughter Ella return home to settle the estate of her late father, but the contractor they hire to fix up the house brings with him a series of lethal mishaps and shattering secrets.”
