Movies on TV

Every night is movie night in these strange times…

It’s Wednesday. You’re staying in – at least you should be staying in – so let’s see what the TV has planned for us all this evening in the form of movies.

There’s no easy way to say it though, the options are not bountiful. In fact, quite the opposite. For the second night in a row, there are no movies on Irish channels.

So once again we’ve been forced to venture further afield in order to provide you with movies for this evening.

Let’s take a look at what’s on offer.

National Lampoons Animal House – 9pm – Sky Comedy

One man steals the show and that’s the brilliant John Belushi.

Under Siege 2: Dark Territory – 9pm – ITV4

Have you seen the first Under Siege? Well, it’s that movie again but on a train. Contains Steven Seagal.

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – 9pm – SyFy

As long as your temporarily suspend your belief of what is possible and plausible, it’s a theoretically watchable movie.

X-Men: The Last Stand – 6.55pm – Film 4

Hugh Jackman is once again very ripped.

“X-Men: The Last Stand often makes it at the bottom of many lists while ranking the X-Men films. While it was numerous problems I honestly don’t think it’s any worse than some films I’ve seen in the MCU.” – Google Review by user AR 558.

Atomic Blonde – 9pm – Film 4

Charlize Theron is badass and beats the shit out of everyone.

A Million Ways to Die in the West – 11.25pm – Film 4

Western spoof directed by Seth MacFarlane, who also stars in it.
