Blade Runner Live is coming to the Bord Gáis Theatre in Dublin

Rudi Kinsella

Blade Runner Dublin

Big news for fans of the classic movie.

One of the most influential movies ever made is coming to the stage in Dublin, and for those who have never seen it, or those who just want to see it in a whole new light, you’re in luck.

Experience Ridley Scott’s multi-Academy Award-nominated cult classic, Blade Runner on a vast HD screen accompanied by The Avex Ensemble performing Greek composer Vangelis’ original synthesiser led score in sync with the film.

Fans of the Harrison Ford-led mystery/sci-fi film will get to see a live orchestra accompany the movie in Dublin’s Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, following on from its live UK Premier in London.

The 1982 motion picture will come to the Bord Gáis on 29 March of next year, with a full 14-piece musical ensemble featuring synthesizers, strings, brass, bass, and percussion, bringing the film’s famous soundtrack to life.

Tickets for what will surely be a very impressive show go on sale on Friday 5 July at 9am, and will be available at Ticketmaster.

More information can be found here.

A sequel to the classic movie, starring Ryan Gosling, was released in 2017, but it will be the original that is shown in the Bord Gáis in March.
