This will be music to the ears of a lot of people.

Bohemian Rhapsody was undoubtedly one of the most successful movies of 2018.

It won big at almost all of the major awards ceremonies, and at the time of writing, it has made over $875 million from a production budget of about $52 million.

So yes, lots of people absolutely loved it.

And for the millions of people around the world who did love it, it looks like there could be even more good news on the way.

Rudi Dolezal, who directed some of Queen’s most memorable music videos, and became close with Mercury during his life, told Page Six in an interview about Queen’s manager Jim Beach, “I’m sure he plans a sequel that starts with Live Aid.”

He went on to say that a sequel was “being heavily discussed in the Queen family.”

The movie, despite being a smash hit, was not without its critics.

Many felt it shied away from the grittier details of Mercury’s life, including his drug use, and it also seemed to shy away from a lot of the aspects of his sexuality. Oh, and not to mention this scene, that had everyone wondering how the hell it won an Oscar for Best Editing.

Maybe the sequel would take a closer look at the more difficult times in Mercury’s life, especially if Dolezal is correct and it does start with the iconic Live Aid concert.
