Breaking Bad movie

Amazing news for fans of the hit show.

Breaking Bad is definitely one of the best shows of the past decade, and it still very much stands the test of time.

A few months ago, it was announced that there was a Breaking Bad movie on the way, and fans were delighted.

We don’t know all that much about it just yet, but we do know that the movie is called Greenbriar, and the plot involves “the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom”.

And now it looks like it will be aired on Netflix, according to Deadline.

“For Netflix and AMC to share the Breaking Bad followup is fitting as the two outlets share the credit for the success of the original series,” the report reads.

“Gilligan acknowledged the streamer’s contribution in his acceptance speech for the series’ first best drama series Emmy win in 2013.”

The report also claims that the script is being shot as a feature-length movie, although this is yet to be confirmed.

Sounds good to us.

Greenbriar looks set to be Gilligan’s first time directing a feature-length film. In the past, he has directed a number of episodes of Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and The X-Files, so we expect big things from this.
