Lightsabers and martial arts. This could be epic…

If you haven’t seen the absolutely brilliant Indonesian action film, The Raid and it’s sequel The Raid 2, then we urge you to finish reading this article and watch them.

Seriously, go do it.

Knife fights, car chases, bloody punch-up’s and some of the greatest action that you’ll ever see are all on offer in Gareth Evans’ brilliant films.

The Raid actors Iko Uwais (hero Rama), Yayan Ruhian (the brilliant Mad Dog/Prakoso), and Cecep Arif Rahman (The assassin) are all set to be announced as key players in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Official principal photography on Episode VII ended on November 6th but there still remains plenty of work to be done on the film and this move would be a brilliant indicator of JJ Abrams’ commitment to use practical effects rather than George Lucas’ much maligned over reliance on CGI for Episodes I-III.

Meanwhile staying in that galaxy located far, far away, Aaron Paul took to Twitter to address those recent rumours that he was going to feature in a planned Star Wars spin-off.

Han Solo and Jesse Pinkman together, scoundrels bitch!
