A big name.

Carl Kinsella

Ryan Tubridy will be joined on The Late Late Show couch this Friday by Caitlyn Jenner.

The former Olympic gold-medallist, known to many as “the most famous transgender woman in the world,” will follow up last week’s episode which took in huge ratings thanks to appearances by Ibrahim Halawa and Conor McGregor.

Caitlyn Jenner is well-known as a reality television star, having featured prominently in Keeping Up With The Kardashians alongside ex-wife Kris Jenner as well as stepchildren Kim Kardashian, and daughters Kylie and Kendall Jenner.

Since then, Jenner has also starred in her own reality TV series I Am Cait, which documented her gender transition from male to female. Caitlin had previously identified publicly as male, and won fame in the Olympics while going by the name Bruce Jenner.

According to RTÉ, Jenner will be addressing her transition from Bruce to Caitlyn, and discussing the journey for transgender rights. She will also discuss her infamous to decision to endorse and vote for President Donald Trump, and plans to talk about how she’s been disappointed with his presidency, including his attempts to ban transgender people from serving in the military.

You can catch The Late Late Show at 9.35pm this Friday on RTÉ One.
