#TRAILERCHEST: New Captain Marvel trailer has our hero beating the living crap out of a granny
We're also getting the Avengers 4 trailer this week...
Here is our second trailer for Captain Marvel, which is the MCU's first female-led superhero movie.
Yep, over 10 years and over 20 movies later, Brie Larson is officially the first standalone female to get her own movie in the series!
From the co-directors of Ryan Reynolds hustler movie Mississippi Grind, and the writing team that consists of folks who worked on the first Guardians Of The Galaxy (YAY!) and that recent Tomb Raider reboot (BOO!), we know that this movie will be set in the 90's.
Hence the non-snapped appearances of Sam Jackson and Agent Coulson, plus the "I thought you were dead?" baddies from the first GOTG, as well as a few new faces...
Also, we know that the Avengers 4 trailer is set to arrive on Wednesday, so this is a pretty great week to be an MCU fan!
Plot's it all about?: The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe's most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.
After joining an elite Kree military team called Starforce, led by Jude Law's enigmatic commander, Carol is thrown into an intergalactic battle after the Skrulls invade Earth, led by Ben Mendelsohn's Talos at the head of the army.
Cast: Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Jude Law, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace.
Directors: Anna Boden, Ryan Fleck.
Release date: Captain Marvel will arrive in cinemas on March 8, 2019 in Ireland and the US.
