La La Land has proven that there is still plenty of cinema-love for musicals.
Hoping to make some bank off the back of this are two of Hollywood’s leading men, Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Both men have plenty of experience in the world of singing and dancing.
Tatum, of course, kind of kicked off his career by high-stepping it in the Step Up movies, recently stole the show in Hail Caesar! as a dancing dandy, and then there was… well…

Gordon-Levitt, on the other hand, is quite as experience. But he still sung and danced his way through that hallucinating scene in 500 Days Of Summer, and has been on Lip Sync Battle (when he rocked it as Janet Jackson), and when he hosted Saturday Night Live, he decided to do his best Magic Mike impression during the opening monologue…

According to Variety, now these two guys will be teaming up for Wingmen, an adult musical about two pilots who crash-land in Las Vegas and end up in all sorts of hijinks.
Gordon-Levitt is also set to produce and direct the movie – he previously wrote and directed the very good and very underappreciated Don Jon, which we recommend you check out – and it is has been pitched as a mix of Pitch Perfect and The Book Of Mormon, with the guys singing popular songs twisted with adult humour.
We don’t see it winning as many Oscars as La La Land did, but we’re guessing it’s going to make A LOT more money.
