Check out the latest trailer for frat comedy Neighbours as Seth Rogen and Zac Efron go head-to-head

Everybody needs good Neighbours...

Eoghan Doherty

Before you get your hopes up too much, we have to warn you. This is not, we repeat, NOT, a big screen adaptation of the greatest Australian soap of all time, Neighbours. No cinematic Harold Bishop gold for you we’re afraid.

Now that we’ve got that devastating news out of the way, let’s continue.

Neighbours sees Seth Rogen’s mild-mannered family man go head-to-head with Zac Efron’s alpha male frat boy after the latter transforms a quiet suburban neighbourhood into party central for the local college.

People still say “party central”, right? Cool.

The great news is that the film is directed by the talented Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him To The Greek) and comes from the same immature, hilarious brains that brought us This Is The End, undoubtedly one of the best and funniest films of 2013 so far. You can read JOE’s excellent review here.

This latest very funny trailer features a baby dressed up as Breaking Bad’s Heisenberg, the gorgeous Rose Byrne getting her Mama Bear on and yes, don’t worry, there are plenty more air bag jokes this time around.

We reckon that this is one baby that might just need a bit of therapy when she grows up…

Neighbours is scheduled for a 2014 release.
