Check out the second excellent trailer for the George Clooney, Matt Damon and Bill Murray-fest: The Monuments Men

They're Saving Private Ryan's paintings...

Hitler = bad. Art = good.

That’s the incredibly simplistic summary we’re providing for The Monuments Men, George Clooney’s latest directorial feature and a film that appears be continuing his trend of only being involved in films that look like that they’re going to be really, really, really good.

Featuring an absolutely belter of a cast including Bill Murray, MATT DAAAAMON, John Goodman, Bill Murray, Jean Dujardin (French for John The Garden), Cate Blanchett and Bill Murray, The Monuments Men tells the tale of a group of unlikely WWII heroes who are sent into Nazi Germany to decide what art is worth saving and what art is not.

Did we mention that it stars Bill feckin’ Murray? We did? Good.

Cate “how can I help you steal our stolen art?” Blanchett has more of a prominent role in this second trailer, while the new footage is also slightly more sentimental and poignant than the previous one. We know this because the slightly more sentimental and poignant piano music is playing in the background, telling us exactly how to feel.

Scheduled for an Irish release at around the turn of the New Year , The Monuments Men looks like it’s right on course for the awards season at the beginning of 2014 and, with this stellar cast involved, its “true story” tag and a lot of Nazi-killin’ going on, it’s sure to be in the running come January.
